Friday, April 21, 2017 - This is a well made new world style Chardonnay. Cristom is primarily a Pinot Noir producer. Their Pinot Noir is made in a somewhat fruit forward Burgundian style, blending the best of the new and old world. I was expecting a little more Burgundy in their Chardonnay. Good fruit. No residual sugar noted, but significant oak imparts a strong butterscotch character. Slightly hot on the finish.
