Saturday, August 12, 2023 - Maxflight of Brunellos (Wilmot Wine Emporium): Part of a Brunello tasting. Decanted prior to the tasting (>1hr) and poured back into its bottle. Dark opaque garnet. Rustic funky nose at first but soon evolved to a meaty, dark red fruit, mushroom and liquorice. Savoury fruit on the palate. Medium plus body with medium finish. Went well with seared asian marinated lamb chops.
