Wednesday, April 8, 2020 - Candy apple red in color. After an hour in the glass a nice nose of smoke, cedar , and violets. By itself, moderate depth, cherry, black tea and red licorice. When paired with mushroom ravioli, pesto and Italian sausage it really shined. This brought out the fruit and sweetness in the wine, young in its evolution but a really nice food wine tonight.
