From a magnum.

decanted for an hour; weak on the front palate, straightforward; not much complexity or development going on; rich dark fruited, stark tannins, high acidity; 13.5%. maybe it's bottle variation, will see how my second bottle turns out.

After 40-min decant: Plenty of cherry with floral notes over leather; nice acidity and balanced, structured tannins; longish finish. I found a heavy steak of blackberry bramble that overbalanced towards fruit, though others disagreed.

Barolo-ish nose of cedar, licorice and some floral notes. But it is lighter and fresh. In the mouth it shows a nice transparency, fresh red fruit, well structured tannins. Beautiful wine in a lovely stage of maturity right now.

Candy apple red in color. After an hour in the glass a nice nose of smoke, cedar , and violets. By itself, moderate depth, cherry, black tea and red licorice. When paired with mushroom ravioli, pesto and Italian sausage it really shined. This brought out the fruit and sweetness in the wine, young in its evolution but a really nice food wine tonight.

Appears that additional time has helped this wine and it's tannins based on those who drank it younger. Dusty cherry, leather, tomato, violet on the palate made this a wine I enjoyed more than I anticipated.

Nice, pretty nebbiolo. Raspberry/strawberry fruit, juicy acid, a bit of tar, some incense/funk, medium minus body, snapped into focus with somewhat prominent tannins. Was a very fine companion to my Cauliflower steak with beluga lentils, parsnip cream and shaved summer truffles. It kept bringing back the haunting truffle aroma.

Touch of tar and a bit of astringency in the initial flavors and mid-range. This is a good, but not excellent nebbiolo from Vietti. A good compliment when served with grilled flat iron steak.

Great quality Nebbiolo. Massive raspberry, cherry, and rose petal on the nose. Very slight tannins. It has a bit of a light Burgundian aspect to it. This could possibly be mistaken for a Pinot by some.

Aromatic nose, very floral (roses), red fruits, leather, some tar, oak - typical nebbiolo. Medium body, medium+ acidity, red fruits (cherry, raspberry), some earthiness and grippy tannins. Declassified barolo with a very good QPR! In a perfect drinking spot - why wait ? :-) Will buy again! 91 pt.

PnP at cellar temperature. Pours typically light and free of sediment. Lightly perfumed with aromas of cranberries, flowers, and spices. High acidity and rather astringent on the palate, but good flavor intensity.
Good hot weather red with some food. OK QPR. Drink in the next 3-5 years. "Very good," 88/100.

Light medium red with pink edges. Surprisingly open with a bit of swirling. Cherry, cranberry and some nice earthiness. Not a brute, elegant and seemingly ready to drink. Red cherry and earth flavours and a medium tannic finish.

Beautiful fresh and young Nebbiolo from acclaimed producer. Very varietal, clean, ripe and full and still modest to stay an excellent everyday wine. Great structure, yet soft and gentle, with powerful grippy tannins. Long and delicious.

Pretty nose, rustic...maybe a touch under ripe on the palate. Well framed and great acid. Food will likely round the edges. It might improve with a few years in the cellar. 89-90.

Cherries and red berries, with leather and a little licorice. It definitely needs air as it was blah initially then developed nicely into a medium to full bodied Nebbiolo. Might develop a bit more.

It's got Nebbiolo character, with the aromatic characteristics, tannin, and acid to match. But it feels a little harsh/underripe to match. Body fills out a little more with a day in the fridge, but I've not been too excited by the two bottles i've had of this wine. better to go for nebbiolo from stronger vintages like in 2013/2015/2016

Very good entry level Nebbiolo. Opened about 2 hours before serving. Initial nose of tar, touch of black licorice and leather. Fuller body as one would expect of Nebbiolo, noticeable relatively round soft tannins and a moderate finish. A good wine with food.

Pnp through a vinturri; appearance of light-medium ruby-garnet. Nose of leathery red fruits with a hint of spicy black licorice. The palate's picking up some spicy red cherries and red cranberries; some sour candies and a touch of oak are noticed. Light-medium bodied with medium finish.

Medium body, bright ruby color. Elegant red berries aroma with flowers, tobacco and dry oak leaves notes that continues to fresh raspberry, cherry palate and spicy finish. Good entry level Nebbiolo, complex and well balanced, nice live acidity and muscular tannins. Food friendly, best match is medium roasted meat. Serve 18º - 22º. Need aeration, open about two hours ahead. Drink now and next four years.

A little lighter in body, concentration and structure than the Produttori Barbaresco. I guess that is to be expected. Red fruited and a little simple. It is a pleasant, well made, entry level Nebbiolo, but considering the price, I'd rather have the Produttori.
