Monday, November 6, 2023 - Upon revisiting this wine for the second time after a few years, it still presents itself as youthfully exuberant. The tannins assert their presence with vigor, and the alcohol lends a bold stroke to the wine's profile, even after allowing it to breathe for 2-3 hours. There's a promise in the undercurrent of flavors - rich vanilla and deep plum notes, though currently, they seem to stand apart, lacking seamless integration.
After an overnight rest with the cork replaced, the wine retained its original character, steadfast in its structure. With four bottles remaining in my cellar, I am inclined to let them rest for another five years. Contrary to other recent reviews, I find the notion of this wine being in its prime at present to be premature.
