Dark ruby red color First thing that pops out is raisin, and red currant. The thing I really like about this wine is the balance of the fruit, smooth, delicious. Some dark chocolate, and some herbal notes. Very enjoyable. Weight medium plus, acid medium minus Seemed to have aged a bit more than I expected.

Small Tasting & Dinner with Friends: Double blind. Dark color. Notes of chocolate, plum, mint and dried herbs. Full-bodied, with medium tannins and flavors of black fruit that linger on the finish. Plush and velvety; excellent. 93+ pts.
This had been opened about two hours earlier and decanted for about forty five minutes. (R&D)

Upon revisiting this wine for the second time after a few years, it still presents itself as youthfully exuberant. The tannins assert their presence with vigor, and the alcohol lends a bold stroke to the wine's profile, even after allowing it to breathe for 2-3 hours. There's a promise in the undercurrent of flavors - rich vanilla and deep plum notes, though currently, they seem to stand apart, lacking seamless integration.
After an overnight rest with the cork replaced, the wine retained its original character, steadfast in its structure. With four bottles remaining in my cellar, I am inclined to let them rest for another five years. Contrary to other recent reviews, I find the notion of this wine being in its prime at present to be premature.

Deep purple juice. This is clearly high-end Napa, Parker era style, from start to finish. Vanilla, plum, dark fruit, and a hint of tobacco. Super rich on the palate. Bold profile with a long finish.
At this point of the meal, I was getting a bit fatigued from all the wine. Would love to revisit leftovers of this.
