Sunday, November 18, 2018 - Vinetasters: Clos Vougeot (Skokie, IL): Tons of rancio -- orange peel, nuts, brown sugar, and a nice bit of salinity too. The palate is fairly complex, with a lovely sweetness that reminds me of madeira, but then you sort of realize that the attendant acidity is sort of missing. Still, there is plenty of complexity and plenty to love here.
