Sunday, July 10, 2022 - Surprisingly it is 10 years since opening the last of this vintage and conventional wisdom would state that was already far too late. However, screw cap, modern techniques, stainless steel and a good wine is still a good wine. This has matured extremely well. It is a very enjoyable wine, The grassiness, so typical of Kiwi Sauvignon Blanc, has subsided with just a hint remaining. The texture is now creamy and full and more aged Sancerre than Marlborough. Experimentation is worthwhile as this wine proves. Ageing is specific to a vintage as a others of a similar age have not fared so well but patience remains a virtue and worth the effort. Enjoy.
