Friday, October 2, 2020 - Popped and Poured. Nose of violets framed by a touch of oak. On the palate, striking acidity to accompany violets, black raspberries and minerals. Underneath it all was a base of red fruit. The acidity gave a backdrop of cranberries but was not overbearing. Overall, the effect of the wine was a touch rustic i.e just a bit more tannic. Medium finish. On the whole a very good villages wine but personally prefer Gevrey. Vines ~45 years.
