Monday, November 30, 2020 - This wine is fantastic. Great cut and definition, yet the depth and complexity is outstanding. Aromas of red currant, lemon peel, white cherry, seashell, chalk, and hazelnut greet your nose. The plate is linear but supple, with a great layered texture. Insane balance for zero dosage, it’s not bracing & the fruit feels plump. This is just excellent. A blend of ‘15 ‘16 & ‘17. 80% Pinot Noir from Bouzy and 20% Chardonnay from Ambonnay aged 30 months on the lees with no filtration or sulfur. Disgorged 4/20 so I gave it a ton of air and drank from wide glasses. Lahaye is one of our favorites.
