Wednesday, May 12, 2021 - Disgorged in April 2019, which I think means that the base wines are from 16 and 17. This was absolutely top quality wine over two nights. Spicy gingery ripe yellow plum and red currant fruit on night 1, a fine bead and silky texture, and a saline chalky finish. Night two is more harmonious, and the chalk and salt permeate everything in the wine. This isn't one of those super-intense champagnes, it's a suave and gentle expression, but with great density of flavor and aroma. Consistently one of the best Brut Nature blanc de noirs wines that I know.
