Saturday, December 9, 2023 - Good bouquet when opened. Color light burgundy and lighter at rim. Legs took awhile to start and ran medium fast. Funky nose, smelled this before but can't place. Doesn't affect taste. Tannins when swished and active on side of cheeks. I refer to mouth cheeks, not...never mind. When sipped not as apparent. Dark black fruit profile, blackberry. Medium body. Looks pretty in glass under light. Still opening up. Keep reaching for more. Not as heavy as in past years. This may be either due to vintage or winemaker preference. Nice wine. Different than previous vintages, not as concentrated, and initially felt more dilute. But after two days opened its just more delicate an light on its feet. More like Martinelli in that respect. Stand by my word it's a nice wine.
