Sunday, November 18, 2012 - Decanted one hour. Open nose of blackberry jam, cherry cough drops and pine planks. Primary in the mouth with a long, tannic finish. Concentrated sweet red fruit. Not an oak bomb but definitely new world. May wait another year or so for more of the tannins to resolve. More than held its own with lamb meatballs with yogurt sauce spiked with pomegranate seeds.
