Thursday, August 26, 2021 - Standard fantastic nose for a franc: raspberry, bell pepper, graphite, sage, strawberry, baking spices, spiced chocolate, some oak, definitely a mixture that leaves all tasting profiles well represented

Raspberry stands out on a pretty dry but still milky mouthfeel, a lot of the same characteristics as the nose and a very long lasting finish that continues to evolve. Good acidity, maybe a little too fruit forward for my preference in cab franc but it could be just a little bit of youth and the fruit is still not quite ripe so a little bit tart and thus the presence is more noticeable. Some bitterness in the finish helps mitigate the fruit, along with the other characteristics.
