Friday, November 10, 2023 - This pours light ruby in the glass. The nose is hugely appealing from the first pop. Aromas are of cinnamon stick, grapefruit zest, pomegranite, alpine strawberry, wet earth, sassafras, and a lovely damp pine grove note. The palate is is light, airy and elegant entering on lovely strawberry and pomegranite. Tannin is low and acid is medium plus. There is a lovely grapefruit pith character to the finish that is quite appealing. The finish lingers impressively on a grapefruit gremolata note with some light but notable bitterness. All in all I'm blown away by this and find it incredibly gorgeous and hugely appealing. A huge improvement to the bottle opened four years ago. Strangely at that time I noted a bit of an odd coconut note and this time around didn't find that at all.
