Friday, February 5, 2021 - Pop and pour, 75 minutes after opening. Dark tea, clay and a metalic tinge on the nose. Wine has a nice grip on the stems, this is more Bordeaux-like than typical from a CVR; it’s lacking the blue and dark fruit I expect and is much more subtle. Front -to-mid palate finish is polished but lacks the depth I expect. While a nice quaff, this varies considerably from my last bottle and others’ notes.
