Wednesday, March 22, 2023 - The nose is not too expressive at the moment, nevertheless it reveals red berries wrapped in vanilla, with a floral twist. On the palate, it is highly concentrated for a Chianti Classico, displaying a velvet texture. Not really my kind of Sangiovese (I prefer the tart, transparent wines made in a Burgundian style to the Bordelais take on the grape), but it is undeniably well made and very enjoyable. Anyway, it is very "international", sacrificing perhaps some character for polish. Drinks well now, will be better from 2025 and keep well until 2030.
