Saturday, January 27, 2024 - Opened an hour in advance. A deep gold to the eye and showing far, far more evolution than when I last enjoyed this just over a year ago. The same is true aromatically with notes of honey joining petroleum, peach, nectarine, a hint of honeysuckle, and some citrus blossom. The palate is savoury with soft green herbs and a touch of phenolic bitterness reminiscent of grapefruit pith. This is textured and oily with the oily quality persisting on the finish. Superb as Donnhoff always is.
