Tuesday, May 23, 2023 - Popped and poured. Fresh medium red. Very forward, floral nose with ripe, crunchy raspberry fruit in the nose. Wild berry all over the shop. Candy-like, ethereal. Palate strikes one with strong, bracing acidity on entry--but not overly aggressive. Very warm, mellow, sweet fruit that flows beautifully over the palate. Quite high-toned, almost an effervescent quality. Not exactly your text book Beaujolais; I'm not sure what to make of it, as it lacks depth/body. Certainly would complement food of the right sort, but I'm not sure it will please Beaujolais purists. 5-12-15-7: 89/100.
