Saturday, December 25, 2021 - Discovered in my cellar a couple of years ago after being forgotten for decades. Served, with some apprehension, for Christmas dinner to accompany prime rib roast beef with horseradish cream sauce. It was a delightful surprise! Much of the fruit had faded, as had the tannic bite, but the mature notes of leather, smoke, and cedar were an excellent complement to the beef.
