Sunday, September 16, 2012 - Slow-O 1 hr, could have used 60 minutes in decanter. Slight signs of age, cork in good/avg condition. Nearly all horse poo, dust, old leather at first. With 10 minutes (and lots of swirling) in the glass, some fruit elements slowly emerge - cherries, red currant, some loam and cranberry - on the nose and the palate. However, the acids are completely dominating the fruits and the tannins, having fully integrated a long time ago, aren't there to lend any support, either. What's left is a food wine, not something to be drunk on its own. 14,0% abv, drink now, as it's not getting any better.
