Friday, January 1, 2010 - The wine was double decanted and then poured after 3 hours. The nose is remarkable on this wine with lots of truffle, earth notes and general funk that was just amazing. There is still fruit left although the earthy flavors dominated the wine and the finish was quite long and elegant. While the tannins are now very soft, there is still structure in the wine that likely would allow it to age gracefully for another 5 years.
