Wednesday, September 20, 2023 - Drunk at a BYO dinner, with Brasato al Barolo.

This bottle was still a bit tight I think, or perhaps in a tunnel phase, but it was still enjoyable. A croquant fruit, blue and red, with licorice and cough syrup but mainly with a cool and clean feeling. Drunk next to Flavio Roddolo Barolo Ravera 2009, these wines are night and day but both have their place in my appreciation. The Roddolo was clearly on point maturity wise, this Burlotto I would try resting for at least 3 or even 5 years before trying again. Only have the one more though...

9/22/2023 1:51:00 AM - Sounds wise. The last glass from the bottle stored in the fridge the day after was not oxidized at all, rather better than what it was the day before.
