Sunday, August 13, 2023 - Nose: apricot, fig, brioche, vanilla, wild berries, honey, red fruits, peach
Notes: this wine gives the feeling of very fine and vintaged balsamic vinegar with excellent acidity accompanied by a stunningly smooth palate. This wine expresses fine red fruits with hints of wild berries, the aftertaste is long and silky and I consider this amongst one of the best Champagne I've had. Interestingly this wine, given its age, has less bubbles than I would anticipate so I think it is a little advanced considering this vintage. The nose is amazing and the palate is even better. This wine is quite ready for consumption and I think it shall remain so for the next 6-8 years.
Drink: now - 2035
