Nose: ammonia, barnyard, cherry, dried leaves, cheese, hints of strawberry Notes: this started off with plenty of funk on the nose and that slowly blew off as time went by. This orange wine has an interesting Rose like color and a very distinctive dryness that is probably related to the Pinot Gris variety. This has an interesting fix of funk and freshness that is combined with some dried leaves aroma. I actually think we can give this 2-3 more years before drinking. Certainly a very complex and funky orange and one of the more likeable orange I've had. Drink: 2026+ Rating: 88

Nose: cantonese sausage, sesame, durian, pineapple, white flower, nuts Notes: 13.5% ABV. The color is still quite light for its age and the wine is demonstrating quite a sesame and nut driven nose. Often old whites that are slowly declining will show a Cantonese sausage or durian kind of aroma which really is not very exciting for me and means it's time to drink up. This surely was quite a complex bottle but I'm really not too excited about it. Drink: now+ Rating: 87

Nose: green strawberry, smoke, hints of cherry, spices, truffle, red flowers, mint Notes: an exciting nose of strawberries, spices and smoke upon opening. The 2008 has this greeness on the nose which can easily be mistaken to be slight TCA, this blew off after opening for a while. A good nose here and although I've enjoyed this wine but I thought the palate is a little light and I don't think this will be a very long lasting wine, after opening for 2.5 hours I start to feel the wine going downhill. Drinking well now but I do have a feeling this is already in the second half of its optimal drinking window. Drink: now - 2030 Rating: 91
