Wednesday, March 23, 2022 - Deep dark purple and dense color. Violet, blackberry on the nose. Palate correlates well, with pencil lead, cedar, blackberry, and aged elegance with some features surprisingly similar to a 2006 Araujo Eisele I tasted last year. Despite being only 2015 it tasted well-aged (in a good way with controlled tannins) and improved throughout the night. Double decanted about 3-4 hrs prior to serving, and I'm sure could have used more but it was still quite nice.
