I'm not terribly familiar with Brunellos, but this is a polar opposite to a '97 Tenimenti Angelini Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Spuntali consumed over the New Year's holiday. That was rich, deep and concentrated fruit. The Gianni Brunelli, at this stage in its life, is overly wooded (e.g. "wood forward") with the fruit in the background. Hard for me to imagine this one getting much better. Extremely disappointing given the price.
