Very bright aromatics, much more high pitched than the brooding Monty. There is a very nice core of fruit here, but while the Monty screamed of classic Cabernet this was more grapey, slightly sweet, stressing acid over tannin and just a much lighter and different animal. I wanted to like it a bit more, and certainly it is a very nice wine. But for whatever reason on this night and this bottle it was strong but not really stacking up. (Sorry Ross!)
