Thursday, May 30, 2019 - Great super Tuscan picked up at the winery last summer in Tuscany. Cab, Merlot and Sangiovese. They claimed this wine was only available to purchase at the winery. I have not seen it for sale Stateside. It is surprisingly affordable and flavorful for what you get. Dark garnet in the glass, great black fruit and forest floor on the nose. First sip is silky, luscious fruit with sweet tannins, a hint of vanilla/oak and wonderful acidity with dark chocolate on the end. Pop and pour is best. If it gets a couple hours of air the tannins increase their grip!
