Sunday, June 10, 1990 - With K at home at dinner (apple risotto). Deep, dark straw color. Nose is very good, reminiscent of a fine Chassage-Montrachet--butter, French oak, toasty, almost Burgundy--great! Rich And buttery on the palate as well, just like a fine Burgundy. Mouthfilling and very long, with a complex, lovely finish. Excellent wine, unbelievably good. I'd be thrilled if every Chardonnay tasted like this. Gets better and better with air. 5-12-18-8: 93/100.
