Friday, September 21, 2018 - Red berry fruits on the nose. Aside from some sappiness, it is not showing much evolution for an 18 year old wine. Roumier ages at snail pace. Good amount of extract, it is viscous and weightless at the same time. The well integrated oak pops with grace & subtlety. Rounded mouthfeel, ripe tannins, bright acidity balancing the fruit. It finishes long. Beautiful bottle.
This will reward 5-10+ more years in the cellar. I will pop my next bottle in at least three.
