92 Points

Monday, June 27, 2022 - Huge wine, with lots warm fruit, noticeable alcohol, but some grip and good structure. Notes of blackberry, black currant, tar, lard, baking powder, smoke and some eucalyptus. Very enjoyable wine for sure but definitely a modern style and loses some points for me with the alcohol that was distracting to say the least. If the heat and that burnt feeling work their way out over time this has potential to gain a couple of points but this bottle tonight as it was drinking did NOT live up to the hype. Drank along side a Don Melchor 2013 that everyone agreed was the superior wine.
