91 Points

Friday, February 6, 2015 - Medium red color. Immediately a meaty nose, slightly smoke-y, game-y and herbal-floral as well. On arrival, medium low tannin and medium acidity, slightly tipped up. Flavors of roast pork, mixed mints and menthol, olives, baked cherry and plum, tar and a little copper penny. Medium finish. We wanted to drink these while they are in The Zone, and this is The Time. This particular bottling passes for Cornas un nearly any fine vintage other than the finest in a decade, and at one-third the price.. Bottle #10 of twelve.
