Saturday, October 16, 2004 - Full forward wine with great balance between the spice of the zinfandel and the darker elements of the carignan, petite syrah and mourvedre. It is jammy with hints of currants, berries, cassis, licorice and oak. A slight alcoholic finish, it is definitely less spicy than typical zins. Overall very enjoyable. Drank with veal sholder "cacciatore."
