Sunday, July 4, 2021 - I don't like this style of wine - austere and very dry - just lacks charm and pleasure. My score reflects the fact that I can understand that it is very well made wine, with a depth of flavour that justifies a score above 90. My personal score would be more like 89. An enticingly rich nose of butterscotch and ripe peach is reflected on the palate - but suppressed by the austere overly dry style. The high acidity does nothing to provide pleasure, though will undoubtedly mean the wine will endure for a long time. The finish is persistent and there is complexity. Drink now and over the next 10 years.
