Tuesday, November 7, 2006 - This wine consisted of 60% Garnacha, 40% Cabernet, Merlot, and Syrah and weighed in at 14.5% alcohol. The color on this wine reminded me of purple Skittles, maybe a tad bit darker, but purple nonetheless. On the nose, there was bright scents of black cherries, violets, and a hint of minerality. On the palate, this wine started with flavors of RIPE plums (imagine chomping into a plum) that filled out in the mid-palate with some brambly fruits and berries, and finished off with nice lingering notes of licorice and cherries. Good acidity and balance that carries the flavors through the finish. WOW! Drink now and don't stop! HS92
