Sunday, April 7, 2024 - My favorite appellation, and given their neighbors they’re in good company at an effective price. But after about 45 minutes it still remains a bit sweeter than expected. Super balanced with a good body though. Strawberry on the nose with some allspice later on. Super jammy. I wonder if it’s just the 2015 vintage because I had a similar experience with the Fae Niente cab. May compare to the 2016 paradigm to see how it stacks up.

Edit: after another 45 minutes, the sweetness tapers off and opens into some nice minerality and notes of pepper and spice. A good proper decant is necessary for this wine for sure. This definitely gets better after 2+ hours.
