Friday, January 12, 2024 - Cork crumbled upon opening. Needed to be filtered to remove remnants. Heavy sediment in the bottle. Brick red color. Upon opening still good fruit characteristics. Dried fruits and dried herbs and some graphite on the nose. A definite raisin like character. Boisonberry, and prune flavors with some menthol early after opening. Tannins are soft but still present. Medium acidity. It's appeal deteriorated after an hour. The fruit flavors give way to more earthy notes with a some bitterness on the finish. Definitely past it's prime, but still a pleasant offering.
