Maybe because of the slightly shorter decanting - over decanted the last one and it seemed to shut down. Beautiful structure and balance, still a little tightly wound up and will need time. Again, plums, cassis, dark fruits beginning to nicely integrate with the vanilla / oak nuances. Wonderfully made wine. Not as richly fruited and super ripe as the '04, but I prefer this. Nicer structure, more elegant, more focused.
