Sunday, January 20, 2019 - Bachelet/Monnot Bourgogne Rouge: expressive aroma with smoke, spice, cherry, sweet raspberry and a mesty quality. Overtones of violet. Nice mouthweight for a BR balanced by elegant acid structure, ripe and fresh fruit, and herbal notes. Elegant tannins. Medium long finish - mainly driven by spice and herbs. Fabulous quality for a basic Burgundy.
