Saturday, September 24, 2022 - Another really nice wine from Lariana! Drank this one beside a couple of big Cali cabs and the Lariana held its own.
Dark berry, cassis and licorice on the nose. The carménère added some interesting flavors and mouth feel to this wine. Structured, softening tannins with light balanced acidity and medium finish.
Compared to the Cali cabs (2016 Freemark Abbey and 2018 Anakota) the Lariana was a touch less complex, but not really a fair comparison at 1/2 the price.
Another excellent wine from Lariana - I need to get some more...
