Sunday, January 1, 2023 - Lovely showing — ready to please but will improve. Dark soil, the same sweet basil aroma I got (along with JLL) from Cayron Gigondas, and fresh button mushrooms, with serious umami allusions alongside a fresh, drying vanilla bean aroma. I’m guessing the vanilla is part of ripe 2017, but because there’s a great grip and acidity here it’s a pleasure.
