Monday, February 20, 2023 - Red cherry, red raspberry and spice/cedar notes on the nose. Medium bodied (13.9% ABV) with red cherry upfront showing a good amount of roundness and openness with a light touch of bright red cherry for contrast. Brings in red raspberry through the middle with good depth, adding some tart red cherry notes, spices and acidity behind. As other reviewers have noted, while it shows well, it does lack the complexity typically shown by R-M Pinots. Structure/contrast comes mostly from acidity with integrated tannins providing a general backbone. Should continue to drink well over the next few years, but I don't see significant potential for positive evolution, more holding its current level through that time.
