Consumed over 2 days (stored in Somm du Vin), note from day 2. Appearance: Clear, medium ruby with just the slightest hint of edge clouding and browning. Nose: Clean, medium+ intensity with developing aromas of raspberry, strawberry, allspice, white pepper, and leather. Palate: Dry, medium+ acid, medium tannin, medium body, medium+ intensity, 13.9% abv with flavors of cranberry, raspberry, and spice with a medium+ finish.
Red cherry, red raspberry and spice/cedar notes on the nose. Medium bodied (13.9% ABV) with red cherry upfront showing a good amount of roundness and openness with a light touch of bright red cherry for contrast. Brings in red raspberry through the middle with good depth, adding some tart red cherry notes, spices and acidity behind. As other reviewers have noted, while it shows well, it does lack the complexity typically shown by R-M Pinots. Structure/contrast comes mostly from acidity with integrated tannins providing a general backbone. Should continue to drink well over the next few years, but I don't see significant potential for positive evolution, more holding its current level through that time.

Soft, sweet delicious strawberry fruit, excellent structure, ample finish, very enjoyable but lacked the depth and complexity of other Rivers-Marie Pinots

PNP. Light red fruit, raspberry. Notes of cedar. Primary, with enough tannin and acid for balance and freshness. Mostly a fun CA Pinot, with enough complexity that I kept filling the glass.

An excellent Anderson Valley pinot just entering it's prime drinking window. Drink now or over next 2-4 years.
