Monday, January 5, 2009 - Opened New Years Eve with some friends. I was not expecting much out of this wine but was wrong. It was very good. Much more balanced than I would have thought. The oak has subsided and the fruit was bright but not even close to over the top. Surprisingly fresh with a long pleasing finish. Almost Bordeaux like as maybe a Pauillac might be.
