It pours very dark, wants to give you the appearance of a black fruited wine since that seems to be "the thing" nowadays, but it can't hide its Oakville roots. It is actually a rather red fruited when enjoyed with some salty potato chips. Voluptuous, full bodied red. Toasted black cherry and a dash of black figs and blackberry. Cinnamon spice and black pepper finish. Finished with toasted spicy and stiff tannins. Long life ahead on this one.
