  • This is a tale of two wines. It pours very dark, wants to give you the appearance of a black fruited wine since that seems to be "the thing" nowadays, but it can't hide its Oakville roots. It is actually a rather red fruited when enjoyed with some salty potato chips. Voluptuous, full bodied red. Toasted black cherry and a dash of black figs and blackberry. Cinnamon spice and black pepper finish. Finished with toasted spicy and stiff tannins. Long life ahead on this one.

  • Decanted for 2 hours and was surprised to discover that the 2017 OV/SL was as good or better than the othe vintages I’ve tasted. Floral aromas with some black cherry and graphite. On the palate, the wine had a tasty minerality with bold blackberry, plum, dark chocolate and coffee flavors and a very long 20 - 30 second finish.
