Tuesday, September 17, 2019 - WSET Level 2; 8/20/2019-10/15/2019 (Leoness Cellars, Temecula, CA): Pale lemon in color; Secondary notes of cheese and pastry take precedent over the lemon and green apple aromas. Due to minimal oak treatment, the palate feels waxier and creamier than expected right after trying a Fevre Chablis. More stone fruits (peach and apricot) than green fruits, but some apple is still there. A rising acidity on the finish. A good burgundy, but the unoaked Chablis style.
