91 Points

Sunday, July 12, 2020 - 2017 (mostly) Cote de Beaune Premier Crus vol 2 (Adam's, Logan Square, Chicago IL): Nose: The nose immediately shows a step up with extra depth and balance. Within that frame are tones of vanilla, pears, red apples, toast, crushed rocks, quince, and yellow florals.

Taste: The feel is medium/full bodied with tart, medium+ acidity. There is an extra density to the feel along with vanilla, pears, red apples, toast, quince, and yellow florals.

Overall: This had gotten a lot of air and it still felt like it was holding back. There is excellent balanced with the fruit showing more dimension and depth across the nose and palate. This needs the better part of 5 years to really get going, but there is still an excellent wine here.
