Sunday, September 11, 2022 - Straw yellow with a clear green tone. Still young. Classic Alsace Riesling nose with petroleum, bread, peach, pear and green apples. Ripe and inviting. Full bodied attack with a hint of sweetness that is quickly balanced out by a biting acidity. The mouth is filled with ripe fruit reminiscent of pears, green apples, grapefruit and lemon. Long and fresh aftertaste where the tones of petroleum from the nose reemerge. Good length. This a very good wine, but still it lacks the excitement to be found in neighbouring regions across the border to Germany. Still, I will keep some of these wines for some more years. I think the aging potential here is great.
